PEC SBA Schedule: Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) has announced the schedule for the 2023-24 School-Based Assessment (SBA) exams. The SBA will be conducted three times in the year, in September, December, and March. Approved timeline for the assessment is as:
First Term Assessment | First and Third week of September 2023 |
Mid-Term Assessment | Second and Third week of December 2023 |
End of Academic Year Assessment | Second and Third Week of March 2023 |
Grades 1 and 2 papers will be oral, while papers from grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 will be written and oral. Additionally, the paper of the Holy Quran is compulsory for all grades in primary, middle, and high schools.
PEC SBA Paper Generation:
Each school in the Punjab education department, whether government or private, will generate the paper from the PEC-provided login portal. PEC will issue a unique login ID and password to each school. School teachers will generate the SBA papers using their own school login credentials.

PEC SBA Term 1 Syllabus:

SBA Paper Marking:
According to the new PEC policy, an examiner and a head examiner will be appointed to monitor the entire school-based assessment (SBA) process. After the successful conduction of the papers, marking centers will be allotted at the school markaz level.
Teachers from different schools working in the same school markaz will mark the papers. Teachers from the same school will not mark their own school’s SBA papers. The head examiner will shuffle the papers, so for example, School A papers will be marked by School B teachers.
PEC SBA Report Cards:
After the completion of papers report cards will be distributed to the successful candidates. Report cards distribution will be at school level. High scorer candidates will be awarded with medals.
